June 2011:
HLA is pleased to anounce that Grace of Sinan's 2011 colt by Hadidi is here!!! This colt is everything and more that we hoped for! He has a gorgeous head, wonderful neck, is extremely correct, and is overall a nice sized foal!
April 2011:
HLA had a sad day on the 11th. We lost a very valuable member to our broodmares in a freak accident. Runaway Star carrying her 2011 foal by Total Truth were struck by lightning. Unfortunately, neither of them survived. Star has been our "star" of the Standardbred broodmares. She had produced 3 beautiful fillies for us. She consistently produced big, powerful, extremely correct fillies that as a sales evaulator stated "just walk like a race horse." We could not have asked her to be a better mom either always being protective but teaching a few manners as well. She was a great asset to HLA and will be sorely missed. Thank you, Star, for all that you gave us! We will always remember you, Runaway Star, and that you live on in your wonderful daughters!
Troy and Jake both had an amazing weekend of roping! Troy on Rebel finished 4th on Saturday in the #11 roping while Jake finished 1st and 2nd on Sport in the #8 roping, winning money at his 2nd roping ever. Both came back to have great days on Sunday as well with Troy placing 2nd in the #11 on Rebel and 1st and 2nd in the #8 using Sport and Rebel to heel while Jake finished 3rd with Sport in the #8. Congratulations to both of them!
March 2011:
Congratulations to Troy and Rebel for a great weekend! Troy won money on Rebel on both Saturday and Sunday in two different events. Troy had a 3rd place finish in the #11 team roping on Saturday with the fastest time of the day of under 7 seconds only to come back to win two second place finishes in barrel racing on Sunday in both the men's and 2D with a 14.9 and a 14.7!
Congratulations to Taylor Blackford who had two great weekends in the row! First, she had a 16.1 on Rebel finishing bottom of 1D in youth! The next weekend she won money by finishing 2nd in youth on Fergie and placed in the 3D also on Fergie!
Congratulations to Shiney Darla for placing in the 3D in her very first competition with Megan!
Congratulations to Jake Kull and Sport for making it through to the short round at their first roping competition!
December 2011:
Congratulations to Gene Welch of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, for the purchase of Spot! We wish you the best of luck with him and hope you enjoy your new riding horse!

HLA welcomes two new additions to the barn, Lil Wayne and Shiney Darla! Lil Wayne is a 2004 black AQHA gelding that has speed to burn! Shiney Darla is a 2008 chestnut AQHA mare that is a very catty own daughter of Smart Shiner!
November 2010:
Rebel had a great weekend in Lewisburg, OH, at the IBRA show. He made great improvements with lots of learning and ended the weekend wth a 2nd place in the 4D with Megan and bottom of 3D with Samantha McCormick! A huge thanks is owed to Sam McCormick and Tony Walker (Walk'N T Western Store) for all of their help with Rebel as well as tack!

Congratulations to Troy Jansen on the recent purchase and new addition to HLA, a 2004 black gelding named Lil Wayne (aka Weezy)!
Congratulations to Jake Kull and Taylor Blackford on the purchase of Sport! He is a gorgeous, very talented gelding that will make a great roping and barrel horse! Best of luck with Sport!

October 2010:
Congratulations to the Hardrock Legacy Acres/ On Credit Ranch Rodeo Team on another great finish at the Ramsey Saddle Club! Jake, Taylor, Troy, and Megan did an amazing job and ended up with a 3rd place finish! Cattle sorting and the shovel race are the two events that they excelled in with a 2nd in sorting and another extremely fast 9.3 second shovel race! Congratulations to everyone on the team and the 4 amazing horses for such a great performance!
Rebel ran an outstanding barrel pattern with Megan! They had a pilot error at the first barrel but still ended up with a 2nd place finish in a huge arena. Rebel definitely showed how he loves to run and can turn too by making up time with barrels 2 and 3 being almost perfect!
Sport ran his first barrel pattern with Megan. He proved he was not only a pretty "face" out there but also had a lot of potential. Sport really showed a lot of heart by trying so hard and running more than ever!
Congratulations to Libby Blackford on her great runs on her amazing mare, Rocky. Libby had several extremely fast runs in several different speed events with an amazing 2nd place finish in stop-in-the-box!
HandoverMyPayday has been sold at the Indiana Standardbred sale. Look for him to hit the track his coming 2-year-old year!
Grace (Grace of Sinan) has been confirmed in foal to the gorgeous, World Champion and Egyptian Event Supreme Champion stallion, Hadidi! We are thrilled and cannot wait to see what this magnificent cross will produce! Good luck, Gracie, with your pregnancy and foaling!
Rebel (Little Bit O Doc Dee) ran in his first speed show with Megan. Rebel came away with a 3rd in stop-in-the-box and a 4th in barrel racing! Rebel is proving to be quite an extremely fast, versatile gelding!
Congratulations to the Hardrock Legacy Acres/On Credit Ranch Rodeo Team of Jake Kull, Taylor Blackford, Troy Jansen, and Megan Lustig for an impressive 2nd place finish in the Ramsey Ranch Rodeo! Troy on Rebel and Jake in the shovel came out with an incredibly fast, impressive 1st place finish in the shovel race! The four also had the 2nd fastest time in the cattle sorting with Taylor and Troy doing a great job at sorting out the correct numbered cattle while Jake was great at turning back the others!
Congratulations to Jake Kull and Taylor Blackford on three 2nd place finishes in one weekend with Fergie (Coles Solano Lady) after their recent purchase! Fergie proved to be an all-around mare! Fergie placed 2nd with Jake in cattle sorting and the Ramsey Ranch Rodeo as well as placing 2nd with Taylor in Western Pleasure! Fergie also placed 5th in a tough barrel racing class running her first pattern ever!
Coles Solano Lady - Fergie is a very pretty, 2005 bay mare. She has an extreme head and tons of quick, athletic ability. She has earned money in the Roping pen with Heeling.
Congratulations to Jake Kull and Taylor Blackford of Shelbyville, IL, on the purchase of this gorgeous, athletic mare! We wish you the best of luck with this mare!
Go Ahead N Look (Kidlook x Conclusive Ruthie) - Layla is a gorgeous, big 2006 sorrel mare. Layla has a stunning head, tons of stretch with a beautiful neck, and a huge hip. She is currently in foal to Seven S Sport Model for an early 2011 Illinois Futurity foal.
